NICE have published their community infection control guidlines. The guidelines can be accessed via the NICE web site (see link) ICNA and The Hospital Infection Society have released the following:
Joint statement by the The Infection Control Nurses Association and Hospital Infection Society on the publication of the NICE Community Infection Control Guidelines
The Infection Control Nurses Association and Hospital Infection Society welcome the publication of these guidelines. As healthcare activities are increasingly carried out in community settings, these guidelines are an invaluable resource enabling healthcare workers to practice effectively. It is important that the guidelines now become an integral part of practice in health and social care settings.
