Hi Diane
We do not (yet) have specific infection control guidlines for acupuncture. (Just the usual sharps policy)
I know that this has been discussed with our acupuncturists, and that they are looking at the topic.
Can I suggest that it may be worth adding you question to the Pain Talk discussion forum, as they have a lot of users that practice acupunture.
Their details are: ............................ Pain Talk http://www.pain-talk.co.uk The national discussion forum and community for UK Healthcare Professionals with an interest in acute, chronic, or palliative Pain Management. ............................. Good luck!
