Age old question: has anybody found a solution for doctors disinfecting their stethoscope after examining each patient?
One GP described to me how the flat head travels from chest to abdomen, swaety armpit to smelly groin, and from one end of the ward to the other, freely spreading all sorts of germs. Should doctors be carrying a wad of impregnated wipes to use after each patient?
I'm sure somebody has a viable solution. I'd like to hear it.

Hi

There is a new product on the market called STETPRO.

This is a silicone membrane which fits over the stethoscope head and is then
disposed of after each use.

If you require information or samples please contact Cardiac Services, Tel
02890 669000.
