I have been informed that care homes may use non disposable wipes to clean up incontinence. The wipes (flannels) are only used for this purpose and are laundered between uses. The same "flannel" may be used on different residents but is always laundered following use on as hot a wash as possible.

Personally I feel that disposable wipes should be used for this purpose but are the home actually doing anything that poses a cross infeciton hazard??

Your opinions would be gratefully recieved
