Look at Universal precaution articles and also the Centre for Disease
Control - Standard Principles for Infection Control - the health and safety
Executive also have guidelines on protective clothing for healthcare workers
and of course do not forget the 'epic Project guidelines' available on NICE
web site
If your looking at protective equipment in terms of wearing during
decontamination of equipment look at NHS Estates document Infection Control
and the Built Environment (2001)another useful resource the NHS
decontamination education programme available on the department of health
web site.
