We have been searching the literature regarding hypochlorite used for cleaning in rooms where patients have had C.difficile-related diarrhoea. Some articles state that hypochlorite is effective against spores - while others say it is not. I would be grateful for references for research papers that specify what the concentration and contact time required for sporicidal activity is.
Kind regards

Hypochlorite is not generally sporicidal. Hypochlorous acid is ( Selkon, Babb, Morris JHI (1999) 41:59-70.) If that helps. Charles Cocking
