SSISS data collection methods.

Part of our role as Infection Prevention & Control Audit and Surveillance nurses involves participation in Surgical Site Infection Surveillance System (SSISS). We partcipate in the CABG category.
We are reviewing the data collection methods we currently use to make it more efficient and less repetitive and labour intensive. Has anyone who undertakes SSISS (of any surgical group) identified this as an issue and developed a more streamlined data collection system?. We would greatly appreciate any feedback on this issue.
