If you go to the MHRA website at www.mhra.gov.uk and look for a document MDA/2004/043 that talks about the withdrawal of the reusable yellow Vacutainer needle holders. The only ones left now are the white ones which are single use so reusable ones are no longer available. As previously mentioned on the board, this was to prevent injuries and also because staff were not decontaminating the needle holders properly.
