Can anyone give me any information on how they are coping with the current supply failure of Bactroban (Mupirocin) nasal ointment (for MRSA decolonisation therapy) now that there seems to be a similar problem with supplies of Naseptin? If you are using Polyfax, how are you getting around the fact that it is unlicensed for this application? Is anyone using anything else? And if you work in a hospital with a "ring-fenced" orthopaedic ward, how are you managing your pre-op decol programmes??? Any hints would be welcome! |

Hi, We are currently investigating BBraun's product Prontoderm (currently used in Germany) just in case both naseptin and mupirocin are unavailable. Prontoderm is a range of products that includes gel for the nose, skin wash, mouth gel, hair wash etc. Will let everyone know how we get on. Sarah |
