Band 7 Nursing Opportunities

The Trust has recently approved investment to innovatively develop a multi-disciplinary team. The first step is to appoint additional nurses at band 7 with divisional responsibilities. Applicants must have relevant Infection Control qualifications, teaching and extensive clinical experience.
Another phase of development is the appointment of an epidemiologist and pharmacist. Future plans include creating a nurse consultant post and strengthening links with the University of Oxford and Brooks University. The aim is to promote an academically orientated Infection Control service with strong teaching and research activity.
If candidates possess a masters degree they would be supported to apply for a Medical Research Council research fellowship with the aim of getting a PhD.
For more information and/or to arrange an informal visit please contact Dr Derrick Crook, Infection Control Doctor on 01865-220125. Closing date: June 5th; interviews will be held the week of June 19th 2006.
