Are any of you being asked to get involved with commissioning, in particlaur monitoring infection rates, compliance with standards etc for services you contract from acute trusts or other contratcted service providers? I would be grateful to hear from you if you are.

Hi Debbie
I am involved in commissioning specifications for clinical services. Although I think this years were a bit light, next years will be more challenging. We have a monthly performance management meeting to review progress. The focus on commissioning for PCTs will be extremely important in the "new world" and it is something that community IPCNs should get involved in. Email me if you require details.
