Kia Ora,

Following my recent move to New Zealand from the UK, I have been asked to produce/devise an Infectious Disease Incident Plan for our Health Board. It needs to look at roles and responsibilities and co-ordination of IC, Occ Health, Public Health in the instance of staff exposure to infectious diseases!! If anyone has a policy that sounds similar that they would be willing to share I would be pleased to hear from you.

Thanks

Christine

I would like to help. I am a Health Protection Nurse Specialist working in Public health at Fife Health Board (and the Treasurer for the ICNA Scottish Branch) so this subject is close to the heart!. What is it you actually need as the response to different ID may be different? or is it an incident control procedure? Our flu plans are in a fluid state as things change (we were the board that had the dead swan with HPAI and the outbreak of E coli O157/HUS in a nursery recently) My son lives in Wellington and he was aware of our goings on. Let me know what exactly you need. Response to varicella zoster in a HCW in high risk area/norovirus etc?
