The new TB guidelines suggest using FFP3 masks when aerosol generating procedures are being performed. Does anyone have written guidance on what is meant by the aerosol generating procedures?

The term "aerosol generating procedures" includes, suctioning, chest
physiotherapy, sputum induction, bronchoscopy, intubation, etc. Anything
really that is likely to make the patient cough and "generate an aerosol
of respiratory droplets." Hope this is helpful.
